It is a much lesser form of breakage, though I suspect it is along the same lines as the complete hang. The search link is on the raspberrypi. But with a sound card application, you won’t ever need a Hamcom interface. If you have any questions, problems, or suggestions about Reviews, please email your Reviews Manager. The synopsys driver doesn’t use ANY standard method of debugging or support dynamic debugging, it has a single parameter that has to be set at boot time for a compiled-in driver that determines the messages logged.

I noticed that the newer ftdi chipsets work better, and the older ones don’t. New to Ham Radio?
USB to Serial RS-232 Adapter
Now rolled back to Raspbian and that for gkc232a has been stable for the last month. If you have any questions, problems, or suggestions about Reviews, please email your Reviews Manager. Could it be that adding the debug prints slows down things to guc232x to allow normal behavour?
I booted with only the keyboard 50mA connected, then removed it and plugged in the alarm connection, so there shouldn’t be any load on the USB. Why do you think it is locked up permanently in that function?
Or do I just have to wait until the USB driver gets fixed? You should just be able to double click on the file, and File Roller should open and it is pretty self evident from there.

The code was running, but it was ridiculously slow. The problem was solved simply reinstalling the updated version from the download site. The driver is built in Ubuntu 8. The system is running llinux MHz. It has also changed Comm port number upon restarting the computer.
The alarm company tell me that the USB connection is powered from their board and doesn’t ask for anything from RPi. Rock solid product, nonetheless. It might be worth a try to send him a PM. Last edited by M33P on Sat Mar 09, 6:
